PING ISOPURE ANSER 2F

All ping putter experts!! Need some information.

I have a ping isopure anser 2f that I acquired from my wife's uncles estate.

Looked up the information on the ping website but it was not too helpfull.

Can anyone tell me the production years.

It is the bronze head, with aluminum(silver) honycombs in the face insert.

It has usa on the heal, anser 2f on the toe, and karsten on the neck of the putter.

I have never seen one before and was just trying to find out as much about it as I can.

I dont know the year but i have the same putter and it is one of my favorites. dont underestimate how good it is..

I have the stainless version with the copper/brass pixel inserts. I love the putter and have been using it for the last 5-6 years. That putter is similar to the putter that Chris Dimarco uses.

Dimarco uses the one with ti and nickel pixels, much different number of pixels etc. but yes, somewhat similar in design.

 

I've got the Ti one and the feel is amazing, 300 something pixels I believe. Even the aluminum is a pretty good putter, but not worth a ton.

I know its a run of the mill retail vesion of the putter.

 

I was just trying to find out a little more history on it.

I have always used either odyssey or cameron putters, but I know that Ping has had some great putters over the years and I was hoping to get some feedback on this particular model.

The ltd edition run with titanium pixels,the Dimarco putter,has a serial n.o on the hell,one of 3000.Without that ists a run of the mill retail version

 

Incorrect. Not everyone of the Ti/Nickel versions has a number.

I believe that the putter you are describing is an IsoForce putter and not an Isopur putter.

 

The Isopur putter has a poured elastomeric inset, and the Isopur2 putters have a poured elastomeric inset and tungsten weights in the heel and toe.

 

The IsoForce putter sounds more like the model you describe. The IsoForce putters are a manganese bronze putter with 50 high-grade aluminum pixels in the face, and the IsoForce2 putters are a stainless steel head with 50 copper pixels in the face.

 

Anyway i think they are a great putter, I have and antique look Anser 2f and love it. I also have an Anser f ti made from Silicone Bronze. The one you have is a Maganese Bronze model and to be honest I wouldn't part with it.

 

Is it a black finish model or a kind of antique bronze? I would have liked my Anser 2f to be black, like the Anserf ti, maybe one day.

 

Sorry I can't help any further but the dates of these things are a little vague and trying to locate accurate info is hard. A wild guess would be the mid nineties, and I don't think the one you have as available from ping anymore

I gave mine to my wife knowing that I could just use it whenever my Baby Ben and I are not speaking. It's an awesome putter. I really like it and I plan to bring it out a few times this year just because I like the black look. I wish I hadn't paintfilled all of the white with hit pink for her :blink: , but oh well, if the ball goes in the hole then no one will care.

I stand corrected re the serial number,makes it harder to tell which is steel and titanium.Are all the titaniums the lonegr pixel block? Anyway,I really like the Isoforce,it has a lovely feel to it.

 

Not really, pretty easy really. Here's a comparison of the two. The aluminum-pixeled version is on the right. I actually bought it without having seen pictures and bought it as it was perported as the ti-nickel version (which is on the left). And yup, the lefty versions are infinitely harder to come by. :blink:

thanks for the post. The putter is an isoforce, the label is still intact on the shaft.

 

A later post has a picture comparing the models, it is a antique bronze finish with aluminum pixels.

I bought a new Pal 2F with the smaller area aluminium pixels in the late 90's and I think it was new to the market around then. These are fantastic putters whether they have Ti, Al or Cu pixel although the titanium pixels with or without the serial number are the most collectible - have recently bought a serial number anserF and was quite temtped by a Ping Darby with the Ti pixels and serial number yesterday. :blink:

I have the bronze version with the aluminum pixels. although mine is a shaft over the hosel type, not the plumber neck. i wonder how many type necks did they make.
