That's South Dakota in case you were wondering. I know west Texas is famous for their wind but I can guarantee you we could give them a run for their money. I have been away from golf for several years now (5 or so without a membership) but I'm on the cusp of stageing a comeback. I just turned 28 years old and I have set some goals this year. The reason I am coming back to golf is related to the reason I left it. Elbow pain. My swing was(is) pretty violent and I developed golfer's elbow so bad it hurt to lift up a glass of milk with my right arm. After failed physical therapy attempts and joint supplements I just didn't see the point putting myself through pain and started gaming on the xbox instead. I was a pretty successful high school golfer winning an individual ESD (eastern South Dakota) title and placed 3rd at state, earning all-state honors and a trip to the national tournament at Virginia beach where I placed 25th and got all-American status. That was 10 years ago. So why now? One man. Sean T. That's right, the creator of the Insanity and T25 workouts. I did the first month of Insanity and now I'm half way through the third phase (gamma) in T25. I can't believe how much better my body feels after all this abuse. I hate to sound like an infomercial but if you can make it through these workouts you really do see results. The golf swing is a pretty explosive move requiring coordination, timing, and balance and that's exactly what these workouts are. Anyways, a couple weeks ago out of nowhere my dad tells me he wants to possibly get a membership this year and asks me to go shopping for some new clubs. We get in the hitting simulator and I start busting drivers over 300(real world that's like 330) like it's nothing with NO elbow pain. I'm like 'whoa' this feels good. Like 'give me more.' I'm sure you all can relate to how addicting golf is when it's good. So now I'm the one bugging my dad every day about golf and equipment I want and all that. Winter still has a firm grip on us in the midwest, we're actually expecting another 2" of snow again, but I really can't wait to get out there and see what I got. So that's my story and I might be posting here frequently on several different topics. :)
