New to the site

Hi Everyone,

 

I've lurked on golfwrx for a few years now and finally decided to register and say hello. I'm a high handicapper (21'ish) and currently live in Adana Turkey. I try to play at least once a week and my goal is to shoot in the mid 80's consistently by the end of summer. I have gained a great amount of insight and information from the golfwrx community and I hope one day that I'm capable of giving back.

I am curious how golf in Turkey is? I know they have a stop on the Euro Tour but generally speaking is it expensive or tough to find a course?

I'm in the military, so we have a 9 hole course on base with a range and tiny pro shop. Other than that, the closest golf course that I'm aware of is about an 8 hour drive away in Antalya. It's a huge tourist/resort area and is also where the Turkish open is. They have over 15-20 courses in that one area and I'm told it's priced fairly reasonably.
