Another eBay seller not to deal with isoldit.ca0195

I won the above auction on a Saturday, the 17th. I attempted to pay about four times from Saturday to Monday, with no success. The seller hadn't put the shipping total in the right place and when I tried to use PayPal to checkout, I would type in the shipping charge and it would boot me out. I contacted the seller, using the eBay system which includes the item number and my eBay ID on Monday morning. He responds NINE HOURS LATER with this gem "Please include the item number and your eBay ID so that we may resolve the problem." Uh, OK, jackass, how about looking in the subject line and body of the email you're replying to, jerk.

I send him the info and by CLOSE OF BUSINESS 3/20 he sends me a money request for $61, which I immediately pay. I mention to him several times that I need the club by Friday, seeing as how he's about 100 miles from me, that really shouldn't be a problem. Again, no reply or email from this seller except for the response to my payment problem. So, I'm sitting around twiddling my thumbs, when, much to my surprise, I receive and unpaid item notification from eBay on 3/23. I immediately send the seller a terse email explaining that not only did I pay 3 days ago, but I contacted him about not being able to pay and expected to receive my club by 3/23, which obviously wasn't going to happen. I further went on to state that I expected a tracking number in my email box by COB 3/23 or I was filing a PayPal claim. He responded with his second gem "Our auction clearly indicates “Merchandise will ship within 3 - 5 business days of payment confirmation.” Your payment was received on the 20th (Tuesday), and your golf club will be shipped out DHL Ground today."

Well, blow me down. Seriously! I sent him a reply, the gist of which was "That's a mighty blaise attitude for a guy that, 15 minutes ago, didn't know I had paid."

So, I calmed down and waited, and waited, and waited. Now, it's 3/30 and still no club, no tracking number, not even a reply to my crapulent email. So, when UPS had come and gone, I filed a PayPal claim against him.

Yesterday, with little fanfare, I received a refund of $61 and a reply from PayPal that my claim had been closed and my money refunded.

Now, this morning, I receive a notification from eBay that the seller has filed an Unpaid Item Dispute. I have made my input to the dispute, but what I waste of friggin' time. The worst thing was, I won a 19* from 3balls, lost a 15* from 3balls, won this guy's 15* and then rec'd a second chance offer from 3balls about 30 minutes later, after I had bid on this POS. I just won another one from 3balls last night, so eventually I'll get the club in my hands.

you should've looked at his feedback.. lots of negative feedbacks..

Like a lot of people, I tend to discount rating when dealing with a guy that has a lot of feedback. Certain industries are rife with complainers, car audio on eBay for example. I looked at his feedback and saw that it was mostly shipping and shipping price related.

Lesson learned. The guy has zero communication skills. I have not received ONE email from the guy or his business that was not directly related to my inquiry about sending payment. Nothing.

I recently won a driver off him. The payment process was screwed up, but I called their office. It was easily sorted out within 2 minutes and I received the driver 3 days later. We both left positive feedback.

To me, there's something inherent about using eBay is a sales vehicle that says "Hey, I'll answer your email and likely understand how to use a computer." I honestly didn't see their phone number and, of course, they never sent me an email saying to call them if I had any problems.

It always amazes me how a lot of these ebay sellers are unable to use a computer to correspond with a person that has given them their money. It makes you wonder how they even figured out how to create an auction listing.

I've had some transactions for $3 that were given more care and attention than some people selling things for $500. All I ask is for a simple email saying "hey, I got your money and here's your shipping confirmation"

A couple months ago I won an auction for something and after a week of emails the lady finally disclosed that she was having trouble finding it in stores to ship to me. HUH?

Rant over.

In my experience, the best sellers are the hobbyist types who happen to be selling something they don't need/want anymore. If a good description is written and good photos are taken odds are you are going to get good personal service.

I have found the worst sellers to be the isoldit types--which is odd because they "supposed" to be professional sellers.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
