Bushnell Neo-XS questions

About to jump the gun, but have a couple questions I need answers on, I can't find on the site or manuals online....

 

1) can you download additional courses on the watch (I travel and play in Morocco, and their course maps do exist in igolf database)

 

2) does the charger come as a USB cable plus charger?

 

3) is the software compatible with Mac?

 

4) better or worse than WR67?

1. All courses pre-loaded but I think you can request courses.

3. Yes, but I have heard of problems with Mac but maybe they were not tech savvy.

I just got my NEO XS late this season and love it. Simple, works well, not too many features.

[sub]I bought a Bushnell NeoXS recently. I have now used it at 8 different courses with mixed results. Whilst I can get two rounds out of it just, and visibility in direct sunlight is great, it just randomly seems to go haywire and read utterly bizarre yardages for a period of time. On the 8th hole of my home course a 460yd par 5, it was spot on the tee. After hitting a decent drive about 260yds I was next to the 200yd marker, where it read 380yds?! I switched off golf mode and then back on, and viola back to 200yds, but the problem is it seems to be doing it 3 or 4 times a round, and whilst it's obvious sometimes at others when its only say 10-20yds out it is a real PITA. It usually is fine by the next hole, but I now have zero confidence in it's accuracy.[/sub]

I've mostly gotten weird yardages when the watch somehow gets on the wrong hole. The auto advance is usually pretty reliable, but it does mess up. I have gotten bad yardages on a few holes though, but not many.

I also get only two rounds out of a charge.

I like it. I use a laser also, but mostly the watch. I find the hazard info mostly not that useful. Sometimes it helps, but it defaults to give greenside trap info, and I'd find more fairway trap info more useful.

My garmin s1 (which I love) still works but the band is starting to seperate from the watch. I have heard nothing but great things about the battery life of the neo xs. It seems to do everything my s1 did except also has a few hazards.

I see it's available thru my marriott rewards. May need to nab this. I can't see paying for the s6.

I have both a Garmin s3 and a New XS. The battery life of the XS is defiantly far superior and it even has a few nice features the garman does not however I found the course data to be more reliable on the Garmin. Most of the data on the Neo is good but I always seem to run into a hole or two where the green data is consitently way (20+yds) so it's not a reception issue. I haven't played the neoXS on many courses so it could be a problem specific to my local courses. I have seen many others post that the data they see on their courses is good on all the holes.
