What happened?

First how did Camillo get into the Masters this year? Second, what happened. He only beat one golfer by 1 stroke Seve. Gary Player was 5 strokes better at 71 yrs old. Is he injured or something?

I cracked up pretty good over the post, but I am not sure if it was meant to be funny. After all Camilo is/was supposed to be one of the new young guns.

 

He got into the Masters by virtue of being top 40 on the 2006 money list. But as pretty much a rookie, his game is nowhere near what it needs to be to deal with the Augusta greens. He could have taken out Gary Player, but oh that quad on 18!!!

 

He could be hurt, maybe he tried to cinch that JL belt right down to the very last hole and tore something.

 

Oh well, there's always next year. Right Ernie " 3 year plan to be #1" Els????

I watched Camillo quite awhile on Monday on the range and he looked great. His short irons were crisp and tight and his long ball was very long. The problem is Augusta is all about putting and knowing the breaks and the greens. That is why I am amazed at Brett's performance so far. To win this tournament first time around is crazy especially if you have walked the course and saw the contours.
