We did this last year and it was a blast. (Played Five Ponds).

Let's hit Makefield Highlands this time, either May 5th or 6th.

Would love to play, unfortunately that weekend is bad for me with family commitments. I spend my summers at the Jersey shore so I am always up for a game on the weekends if anyone is in the area.

I rolled Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a woman that would put a woopin on most of the men I know...so no I have no issues with playing with a woman..my wife well she may not be too happy about it! LOL..

Greens fees are $74 including cart and I will call and find out about aeration.

I just called and they are aerating this coming Monday and Tuesday the 30th and 1st respectively. Perhaps we should push this back one week to May 12th?

 

How do the collective We feel about that?

 

(Maybe the added notice period will enable more people to plan to play)

Well...my home course (Bella Vista) is aerating this week. I think most of the courses are aerating this week or next, so pushing back the date might be the best solution. Also, Makefield is sort of central to the Philadelphia / S. Jersey area but I am open to suggestions.

 

If there's somewhere you think would make a good venue let me know and we'll circulate it for comment. Otherwise, let's shoot for Makefield Highlands on May 12th.

Well, it's a short course that plays long... but my buddies just played Pennsauken CC yesterday and they said it was in great shape! Not to mention my wife is running a best ball there may 22nd and wouldn't mind getting in on it..

 

Oh, if anyone's interested in the best ball let me know... she's raising money for the HS marching band she Assist. Directs.

Scotland Run is an AWESOME course, but a little pricey. But despite the greens fee I would be very much up for playing there. Check on the condition and let us know.

The plugged the greens the last Monday in March, so they should be fine by May 5th. We have had a lot of rain in South Jersey as well, but who knows what the next 10 days or so will be like.

So its on: Scotland Run, May 5th, looks like $105 for greens fees (and that includes range balls if my recollection serves me right).

 

I realize its a little steep, but its well worth the price for an excellent course and a special gathering.

I would definitely be in, but both of those weekends don't work for me. I will keep an eye out for anything in future. I also belong to Roycebrook, so maybe we can always do something on the west course there in the future.

My handycap is my golf game! Hard to say for me I've played 3 times this season and I have 2 90's and 89 on the book, neither of those courses compare to to Scotlandrun though...
