54 Hole review

First off a little background:

I have been using Nike shoes for the past 10 years and I have always gotte the "tennis" shoe style golf shoe. My last pair was the Nike Air Max sport plus. I have used these alot for the last two years and they are still comfortable and I would still be using them if it wasn't for the sole ripping on the bottom.

The nike shox golf fit true to what i have always expected from Nike. That is where the comparison to my last pair ends. These shoes suck. They are uncomfortable under your forefoot....no air cushioning from what i can tell. They also are killers around the front of your ankles. I am very thankful they havew a 45 day playiblilty guarantee because these suckers are on their way back to TGW so I can get my money back. Honestly I think Nike has taken a step back in their comfort. These things are awful. With my last 4 pair of Nike shoes they were great right out of the box. Not these. These are just my opinions...I am sure others love them.

Have you tried the Nike SP 5's???

They are probably the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever worn, and I have quite a few different pairs of golf shoes.

They have a 'sudo' sneaker look that might suit your preference.

I had the SP5 but I did not care for the look. I do not get the sneaker style for the look but for the fit. The traditional shoes have a narrow tip to the toe and even if I get the wide size I still have trouble with ingrown toenails. I have duck feet....regular heel and wide forefoot. I just usually go for the sneaker style for the fit. I might just have to give the SP5 a go again or it might be time for a new brand.

For what it's worth, I hear great things about 'ecco' golf shoes........more so than any other brands. You might want to give them a 'looksee'!

You guys are killing me. I'm looking at some Nike golf shoes for my next pair, SP-7 tours. They feel good in the store and for a first not to narrow in the toe. I can grab a pair of FJ 13W all day with out trying them on and have no problems. I was just looking for something a bit different. I guess I keep looking eh.

i have a pair of the SP-6. really comfortable, but i will say that i am very diappointed. i got them as a present last xmas and didn't start using them until march. how do both airpockets pop and one airpocket rip away from the sole. really cheaply made IMO. will be moving back to the good old FJ soon.

I've had just about every pair you can imagine(all brands), I've never had any problems with the Nike's I've had.

I have decided to go the ecco route.

I am not bashing Nike above...I am just extremely disappointed in the shoes after using their shoes for quite a few years.

I have Nike SP-5's, SP-6's, DuraComforts and Air Max's and love them. So much so I'm not really in the market for golf shoes right now. Although I might me tempted to pic up a pair of black SP-5's.
