Nike sumo +

I understand it's a non conforming driver but I cannot find any more info regarding the "+" symbol between sumo and nikes swoosh...does anyone have anymore info regarding this driver. I can't even Google this driver with the plus symbol..?!

perhaps the reason you can't find info on it is b/c it's almost 10 years ago...get a new driver homie and leave the questions for the goodwill bin.

[/quote]My driver is 9 years old. 2007 Burner TP and I would not trade it for nothing new. Those Nike drivers are still nice to hit and if i remember right some had a great golf shaft. Some of the pros are playing drivers that are 5 years old. Put a great shaft on anything that is old like that and watch the ball fly as the shaft means everything.

[/quote]I will buy all the Nike Sumo 2 hybrids 30 and 34 degree clubs that you have.You call them junk,look on EBay as they are not cheap.$100.00 for what you call junk. You can buy the new Taylormade Drivers for less than that and that is junk.These are so good for people that struggle from 135 to 145 out.That is why they have a cult following and if you can find one cheap buy it and put it away.

It would appear you're a bit pissed I said what I said. Truth is, there are many technological advances since the sumo line...if you have to worry about whether or not ur nike sumo is legal or not...perhaps just buy another off the bay for less than a decent cab ride. And sorry but, those sumo hybrids were dog turds. Glad you liked them...

Why is it that I play very old clubs and never lose to often. Not the technology but the guy that swings the club. Jack Nicklaus still plays his old 3 wood from years ago.

Normally I don't weigh in on this sorta stuff, but this is the problem with the internet these days. The OP asked a question, if you can answer it or have some meaningful insight into where he can get an answer for his question then go for it. However if the best you can do is cuss someone out for having an older club you really need to find something better to do with your time. The truth is sometimes people can't afford new clubs, they have some attachment to a club or just don't want a new club.

The real question is why on earth does it affect you? Why do you feel the need to jump in with some less then witty comment that really has no place? You can think all day about how silly it is to have an old club in your bag but keep it to yourself instead of calling someone out on a public forum for no reason. What annoys me nowadays is this damn sense of entitlement people have. I have something to say so I am going to post it irrespective of whether it contributes to the discussion or not.

OP I hope you get your answer and other guy, I hope you find something better to do with your time

I actually have a emotional attachment to this particular club lol. Back in high school I remember this driver coming out and how amazing it was, back then I played a Cleveland hibore XL. I'm buying a piece of my past basically. I work at a private course in the pine barrens, so a USGA non conforming driver will be just fine on Monday afternoons. Thanks guys for all your replies. I am still very curious about the driver though. All I can find is a old Nike announcement regarding the old sumo drivers.

[/quote]looks nice. Let me know how you hit it. Maybe the most accurate Nike Driver they ever made. I put the R1 shaft into a Burner driver and works great. It is 55 grams. Good luck.
