Hello from Youngstown, Ohio!

Hello everyone!

 

I have been playing golf since I was 8...42 years ago. Played in High School on the team in San Diego...back when playing Torrey South on a weekday afternoon was just something the HS golf teams did...

 

Kept playing through College and as much as I could...got down to about a 6 handicap...then started having kids and gave up playing to focus on the family. Still played 1x or 2x per year, but nothing spectacular.

 

Oldest son is just starting to show a little more than a passing interest in playing, so I'm starting up again. Just was gifted a new driver (to replace my Titleist 975J), and will be making an equipment upgrade over the next few months...I have a full fitting scheduled for next week...looking forward to seeing what the new technology and equipment can bring to my game.

 

Also started using a laser rangefinder...what a great piece of gear!!

 

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome aboard. This is the best golf forum around. There are some great guys who give great advice and insight, and there are some knuckleheads who will make it their project to correct you if they think you say something incorrect. That is pretty much like real life though so enjoy the good and don't let the bad discourage you.

We spent 7 years living up in Park City..moved out here in 2004 to be closer to family...I do miss the light air and hard fairways of those PC courses...
