Ping Eye 2 woods and a Big Bertha

Under the skis and Venetian blinds, my local thrift store had a few clubs of interest. Picked up a Ping Eye 2 1 and 3 woods and a Big Bertha driver. $2 each. Some observations:

The laminated Ping driver is larger than the Big Bertha. The steel shafted Ping is also a lot heavier. I was shocked to see that the Big Bertha is a 10° driver; thought it was a 3-wood or 5 wood.

The Ping 3 wood head is very large and deep. It's not much smaller than the driver. I doubt I could easily hit it off the fairway. The 3wood is in great shape. The Ping 1 wood is a little rough. I love that is says "1" on the sole.

Will try to get to the range and try them out on Sunday.

Can you post some pics. I recently sold my Eye 2 irons. I remember the woods from back in the day -- love to see what you found.

The eye2 3 wood is the best 3 wood I hit. Loved it, in truth I never used a driver as I was more or less the same distance off the tee but a mile straighter...great clubs

You should try hitting the 3 off the deck. It's a lot easier than you think it is. The first time I tried with it my shot went sky high and long. I set up to it like I set up to hit an iron.

I gave up the Ping Eye 2 woods (1, 3, 5, and 7) and replaced them with Ping Zing blonde driver and woods. They are really great clubs. Great find for you.
