What's the head weight of the old stainless Pings?

depends on the model, but they are light, after puting 40 grams worth of tungston slugs into my anser ti, it still didn't get to 300.

On the average, the consense seems to be that a stainless Anser 2 weighs somewhere around 320 grams. Sorry, Scotte, I don't mean to be argumentative, but if you have a sub 260 gram head, that is pretty remarkable. I have an 8802 that weighs 310 grams!

 

Hoosier, one other thing....the beautiful part about Ping is that if you have a particular model in mind, you can just call or e-mail them and they will check on the average wieght for you. I know for a fact (because I have done it 2x in the past) that if you place an order for one of their putters, you can request that they select a head in a certain weight range, or that aim for a certain swingweight. If you really were after a very specific set of specs, the WRX department can probably do custom weighting, but that could get pricey (i believe the standard quote is the cost of the putter x 2, plus labor).
