Playing there Sunday with some guys from work. Anyone play here this summer? Went a few days last year to watch the Seniors PGA Championship, and thought the course was wonderful! I know it wont be in the same pristine condition though. Looking for comments, advice, or anything really. Thanks

I just played there about 3 weeks ago. Course was in awesome condition i really enjoyed it! I would recommend getting there early the clubhouse is awesome and you will want to roll some putts on the putting green. The greens are severely tiered so ball striking is a must out there. If you are on the wrong side on the greens its a 3 putt almost every time. The greens where not lighting fast but they where the perfect speed for how sever the slopes are on the greens. I will go for sure be going back.

I have not played there this year but have played it many times over the years. Conditioning will be great. It has always been pristine when I've been there it just won't be set up as tough as when you were there. For me, the thing to keep in mind is the course was designed to hold tournaments. Not a long course (by tournament standards) so the greens are the defense against low scoring. Before they hosted their 1st senior event the greens were pretty mean. They have been "softened" a bit, however, you will undoubtedly find yourself in a bad position on or around a green at times. Best thing to do is smile, mutter "jacks an a*****e", and enjoy the challenge. Whether you're long or not I recommend hitting a drive from the back tees on #9.
