Pensacola/Destin Trip Next week

A few buddies and myself are heading down next week to play some rounds. My mother in law lives in Gulf Breeze on Tiger Point so we will be playing there on Thursday. Our AirBnB is located in Fort Walton. Any recommendations on where else to play. When I was down over Christmas I played at the Club of Hidden Creek in Navarre. It was a nice course and we may play there a round as well. Looking for something within 45min to an hour around Fort Walton. I know there are quite a few near Destin as well. Any input is greatly appreciated.

My favorite course in the Pensacola area (where I lived for 18 years) is Lost Key out in Perdido but it's probably about a 50 minute drive from Tiger Point. It was in fantastic condition when I played there the week before christmas and earlier in fall—as good as any course I've ever played. It can be really tough if one tends to spray the ball around but it's a very fun layout. I posted a few pics over in the course pics thread. Otherwise, the courses in Pensacola itself are all really bad IMO. I haven't played any of them in ages. When I lived there the Moors was still open and so it was there or Lost key about 80% of the time. No advice on Destin since I never wanted to drive that far but there are at least a couple of wrx threads on those courses to look over.

I appreciate it. I know there are quite a few clubs on GolfNow for the area but they are all north of Pensacola. I was trying to stay closer to the water area. We are looking to play 5 rounds with 2 of those spoken for. Just looking for 3 more now.

Ah, I saw Air BnB but thought you said staying in Gulf Breeze. You'll definitely want to stick to Destin and Hidden Creek if staying in Ft. Walton. I like Hidden... it's very short but fun and usually in good shape.

Regatta Bay & Kelly Plantation are great accessible courses in Destin. Sharks Tooth and Camp Creek are top ranted but might be difficult to get on as they are private. Green fees are pretty pricey there too

I actually looked at both Regatta and Kelly. Both appeared to be around $60 a round for the times we were planning on playing that sound right?

I really liked Kelly Plantation. I thought Regatta was decent but preferred KP, in my opinion, the best accessible course in the area.
