Honma TW 747 Fairway Wood reviews?

Any reviews? Pros and cons?

I've hit it but I wasn't blown away. The head seemed too big and cumbersome, although the shape was great. The same can be said for the hybrids. I prefer the looks of the 737 models. It's not a bad club, but I think there is a reason that Justin Rose is currently still using a TaylorMade fairway (note he has switched to a new model, so it's not like it's just old faithful).

Driver wise the 455 looks incredible, but the 460 was much more forgiving and still looks good.

I would be interested to testt he 455 and 460. Which fairway wood blew you away if I may ask.

I love M5 rocket. Pxg gen 2 is good. Have hit epic flash subzero but prefer the look of flash. Yet to hit the Mizuno and G410. Am biased against Titleist although they look good.

Cracked the face of my trusty X2 Hot the other day, so I went to the PGA Superstore and asked to try, like, everything. The sales guy handed me a 747 15 degree, 70g stiff shaft. To be honest, I’d never even heard of Honma. From address, the head looks kind of old school. To say that I wasn’t expecting much out of it would be an understatement.

Well, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, I mean, over and over. Clocked me at about 270 yds carry, every single one within five yards of the target line. I’m sort of long but not huge—I hit my Ping G30 driver 285, maybe 295 on a good day. But I was hitting this Honma so hard and so straight that the sales guy actually asked me if I was a pro.

Let me be clear. I am most definitely NOT a pro. Maybe he was buttering me up for the sale, sure, but hey, go right ahead. Didn’t feel like paying $300 for it, so I just found one new on eBay for $150 and bought that guy instead. Fingers crossed it acts that exact same way on the course.

Slightly off topic, but that's kind of how I found Honma as well. Looking for a fairway wood, hit everything in the store, then tried a Honma 737 fairway and, except my distance was 100 yards less than yours (well, not quite, but almost), the consistency was amazing. Then tried the 737 drivers, same result, settled on my sig. Tried the 747 460 driver and it didn't work for me at all. Haven't tried hybrids or irons because I'm not in the market for those right now.
