Are these clubs men's or women's Hogan Power Thrust + Serial # L 24963

I believe these are the lady version due to the "L" designation on the ferrules. Is there a shaft-band on the shaft that has an "L" on it? I think I remember reading that if there is an "L" on the shaft band then they are the ladies' version. Also, the ladies versions will be about 1.5" or 2" shorter than standard men's clubs for each iron length. So for instance the 5 iron will be about 36" inches as opposed to 37.5" or 38". Hope this helps.

I measured 38" for 5 iron.

2 iron. 39.5" 3 iron. 39.25. 4 iron. 38.5,

6 iron 37.75, 7 iron 37.25, 8 iron 37,

9 iron 36.5

Seems like these are men's lengths? Could they have been special made??

2 remnants only of shaft bands. Hard to read?

Those are men's lengths for sure. Seeing that they have the original Ben Hogan grips and ferrules they haven't been altered. It appears that they actually are men's clubs.

So after a little research I have found that....

The "L" on the ferrule is the month of the year they were built....so A is January, B is February and so on and so forth so "L" is for December.

The 2nd number is the last digit of the year built.....so 1962

The 3rd and 4th numbers are the model number for Hogan Clubs

The 5th number is swingweight

The 6th number is shaft flex....3 = regular flex
