"running the site"

Mods - Not sure if this is the correct forum, please move if needed.

 

Over the past few months, I have noticed a few members posting a lot of new threads.  One member has almost 70 threads started since December 1st.  I know we are not supposed to "run the site", but is this the same?  I feel a lot of the topics are redundant, and old posts threads with relevant discussion are being ignored.  Whether this is people being bored or people wanting "internet points", am I being too sensitive? 

 

Caveat - I love this site, and have learned that some of my posting may have rubbed others the wrong way.  My apologies. 

 

What posting behavior should be acceptable?  Should over-posters be reported to mods?

 

Not trying to flame anyone.  I just miss a certain aspects of this site that has been recently lost in my opinion.  Anyone else think so?
