Driving Range Back Fence question

How far are you hitting the ball?

At my driving range the average hitting bay is 255-260yds out from the back fence and the fence is four stories high. I always wonder "If the fence wasn't there that would have gone XXXyds" Is there a way to guesstimate distance depending on what portion of the fence you hit into. ex: bottom of the fence to middle/top portion of fence.

I would say that totally depends on the trajectory of the ball as it is hitting the fence...But come on...there is not much better or more fun then hitting the ball past the far frece/net at a driving range. I am finally challenging this after years of hitting over the gigantic net on the right side of the range

Ooh! The right side fence! I used to be best friends with it when I first started.

The only problem I have with that is, at my regular driving range, a four-lane highway with a lot of traffic is like 20 ft past the net!!! Net is maybe 250-260, probably 30 feet high... I have no idea how far I have to carry it to clear it, but I have a couple of times I think by the looks of brake lights flashing on! Either that or the balls went through the net (which is highly possible). Luckily there usually is a lot of people hitting, so I just throw the driver back in the bag real quick and start hitting wedges!

All depends on how "fast" it got to da' fence........hehehe

The few times I actually tattoo a ball it does smack into the fence so I know I put the good kool-aid on it.

I use game-used balls from my shag bag instead of the range balls when I hit my driver. No sandy range balls for my driver head, please!
