I just got a great deal on a 9 * Exotics driver with the NV 65, however I was a little worried thinking maybe I should have went with the 10.5 with NV. Is the Exotics driver a high launching club or should I go up to the 10.5? My ss is around 107. Thanks

You should be fine with the 9*. The clubhead design incorporates higher launch characteristics along with the highest MOI in the industry. At 107 SS you should experience a launch that gets up quick than flattens out in a line drive configuration with a landing that then optimizes roll. If you look at tour players they are all hitting high line drives that launch quick and roll out strong.

Hope this helps.

What are your thoughts for a 95mph swing speed. I figured 10.5.

Which shaft do you think is best for that swingspeed, and a slightly fast rythm (1.3 seconds tempo on launch monitor)

I would reccomend trying the 10.5 with the Aldila NV 65 Exotics in an R flex. That shaft at 65 grams should match your tempo profile on the launch monitor. In an R flex that shaft still has torque control at 95 mph SS but gives you the right amount of tip feel. I'm 51 years old and my swingspeed is 99-103 depending on how hard I want to go at it and as an experiment I put in the NV 65 in an Exotics 9* . I have always played stiff flex in my Drivers and as I started to work with this club I was amazed at the high line drive bombs that were launching off of this combo. I now feel like I don't have to go at it real hard to try an recapture some of the length of my "youth". With the NV 65 R I am carrying the ball in the air a good 8 to 10 yards longer then before. Of course the Exotics head might have something to do with that as well :dntknw:

Thanks for the reply and input. I am 48, I too have been wrestling with moving from stiff to regular. I did get the 3 and 5 woods in the Fuji regular shaft, but found I just could not get them off the ground even, top spin knuckle balls, and I had never had a problem hitting woods off the deck. Traded them back in for the Fuji stiff and found that better. I had planned on trying the Fuji stiff and NV stiff inthe driver. Will take out a NV regular now too and have a go with them. Love the woods, just need to get rid of the snow now :drinks:

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
