looks like a mid '60s Hogan PC5 or PC6....I really don't know the difference between the two. There are some real Hogan experts on here, so have some patience...

It also helps to show, not just the back, but also the sole of the club, the face, the shaft band, & the grip.....you can show just one club, say the 7 iron...

I'll go with pc7's, hosel looks "short" and back is "frosty" not "shiny"

However the two lines on the hosel confuse me. I have a set of pc5's, some odd pc6's  and pc7's, all of them have one direction angled knurling at that place on the hosel. Maybe slazengers? I have no idea.

I've not heard of PC7s (tho, that's not unusual for me - I'm still learning)...I checked the set I have, the backs look frosted to me, they're not in the best of condition as this time.
Can you explain the differences between the PC 5, 6 & 7?

i have a set of Slazenger Hogan Bounce Sole 1+ & it clearly states on the sole "Slazenger Stainless"....

Thank you for the replies.  They are being sold with ‘dura ply’ woods.  I am not sure what decade these are from.

Please take some pictures that show the face of the clubs, the sole of the clubs, the shaft & shaft band (if there) and the grips.Oh and a better picture of the sole of the woods (it would show the model #), I'm guessing they are laminated, but that would show up on a picture of the face and the top of the wood...not sure when Hogan began to use laminated woods...

So as I understand it, first generation percussion centers ran from 1965 to 1967, known as pc5 through pc7 respectively. Pc5 were 3 inch hosel, shiny backs. Pc6 were 3 inch hosel, frosty backs. Pc7 were 2.5 inch hosel, frosty backs. Minor muscle pad differences between models, not really noticable until side by side. Otherwise pretty similar appearing.

Not to be confused with 80s PC irons.

I've played my partial set of pc5's (with pc6 7 iron and equalizer to fill out the set) with N shafts a few times. Great feeling clubs, but relatively pretty heavy, typical for the time. Really solid.

Classic Hogans if you are into that. I guess I am lol

so measuring from the heel to the top of the hosel, ~3" and it looks like the backs are frosty....need cleaning, but that is what it looks in sunlight. So a PC 6 is probably the set I have  (1 thru E). Only two have partial shaft bands, black upper Ben Hogan R w/partial blue TrueTemper. All ferrules seem to match, except for the 1 (it's cracked), the rest look like black topped by red blue(?)red.  All but the 1, 7 & E have Ben Hogan grips in horrible condition, yet 3 thru 9 seem to have the same reg #s. I didn't expect to find any on the 1, 2 or E. So it seems to be a mostly matched set. HUH...interesting

Thanks again, sure didn't mean to hijack this posting....

@MrFlipper @pacman16 just checked Ben Hogan Vintage site, looking up something else...turns out the PC5 came out in '65 w/frosted back, the PC6 came out in '66 w/chromed back, & PC 7 out in 67 as you stated....so seems as if I have the PC5 set.
When I look at those prices on the refurbished back to new....gotta wonder what it cost to get them that way (I'd have to win the lottery to have them refurbish mine 😂)

I have a ton of respect for that guy but take a look at some of the old threads on here with teevons,  holden cornfield and those guys. That's where I've picked up most of what I've learned. I could sure be wrong, too!
