Struggling to practice my woods at the range

I can’t really practice my wood at the range because I feel like my miss at the range is completely different issue. I never feel correct setting up at the range. Tees are always off. I am always hitting these low piss missiles where at the course I am fairly high. My miss on the range is a low pull off the heal.  Any tips or anyone ever have a similar issue.

No idea.  Setting up incorrectly, not turning shoulders(armswing) and turning shoulders too flat are common problems.

Here's one solution if you have to use a range with mats. 

 

The BirTee set includes 8 different heights of plastic tees shaped like teepees. One of them should be the perfect height for your driver and another will be perfect for your three wood. You'll know within a few swings. 

 

The problem is that the BirTee will fly off the mat every time you hit from it. I combined the Tee Claw with the BirTee to create my own contraption. 

 

The Tee Claw product screws into the mat surface. There's a flange underneath each Tee Claw you use to connect the elastic leashes that come with the Tee Claws. 

 

I attach the other end of each leash to my preferred size BirTee's so they don't fly away when I hit from them. Whenever I have to practice driver from a mat I just twist the Tee Claw into the mat and hit off the BirTee. 

 

After a few swings the leash will get twisted up. That started to bug me so I bought some swivels from the fishing tackle dept. at Academy Sports. Now I put a swivel on the end of the leash before attaching it to the BirTee. Problem solved. 

 

Every time I use these at the range someone will come and ask me where I got them. I should probably sell them from my trunk or something.

My local range has rubber tees that are too short for my driver.  I bought my own rubber tees that are 3.75" tall.  That was a bit too tall, so I  trimmed one down to be right for my driver.  3.375-3.5" would have been about right.  My range uses white rubber tees, so I like that these are black - it prevents anyone thinking I'm stealing a range tee when I put it back in my bag.
