I started watching this earlier in the week and couldn't get through the whole thing. 

 

I really like what the coach says about the long game and short game sort of being opposite. There is a kind of effortless, lazy feel you need to have for short game and putting. 

 

It's no surprise to me that Rick, who specializes in hitting driver, kind of sucks with his wedges. I have a friend who's exactly the same. That said, I'm the opposite. The closer I get to the green, the more I like golf. I've never been a power player. I'm just not a powerful person in general. I have good coordination but don't have excessive size or strength. 

 

Watching this really makes clear how someone can have great skills and instincts for one half of the game and yet feel completely out of sorts in the other. The best players I've ever come across are really good at both. They've got rock-solid long games and can flip a switch and slide into the lazy, smooth, touch-oriented side of golf on the very next shot.
