Payntr Models 004 vs 006

Anyone know if the only difference in these is the heel cup?

004 has a graphite plate in the shoe and uses Payntr's PMX foam in the midsole.  The 006 has a pebax plate and PMX foam.  The uppers will probably fit slightly different, but cushioning/support should be very similar in both.

I sent them an email back in May trying to figure out differences in models and asking for sizing advice based on some other brands and sizes I wear. Here was the reply:

 

 

I will start by offering some of the differences in our footwear. The X 001 F uses a microfiber upper while the X 002 LE is a full grain leather. The performance attributes are the same. Both models offer a dual durometer midsole, graphite propulsion plate, and 3D traction. The X 003 is a synthetic leather upper with a single durometer midsole. It still uses PMX foam but does not offer the dual density offered in the 001 and 002. The 003 still offers a propulsion plate, 3D traction, and the NeverWet benefits offered in the other models. The X 004 is our first spiked product and has the same performance benefits as the 001 and 002, however, it has a new heel counter with an anti-blister guarantee. This Spring, we also introduced the 005 and 006. The 005 is essentially the 004 on a spikeless outsole. The other benefit is that it has a nitrogen infused midsole, which provides more repsonvesness when pushing into the swing. The 006 is our other spiked offering and it has the same upper as the 003 but on a spiked outsole.

 

For sizing, I recommend going for a wide in our footwear as well. We just started using a new heel counter that is designed to lock the heel in place and it is offered on our X 004 RS.

You got a better response than I. Wish they would put this on their site. They could do a better job organizing and naming their shoes. Why not just call the 004 and 005 the same shoe, just in a spike and spikeless option. It doesn’t have to be confusing. The 001 and 002 could have the same name with different upper options(ie leather and microfiber)
