what you think of it?

i have a hogan 2H 19* right now and i hit it a little low about 240 with the stock 4 steel shaft and i was thinking to get something that will fly higher easier. was told the halo would do this. wondering if you have the stock steel? graphite? or did you install another shaft in it. and what are your overall impressions of the club. off the tee. off the FW, around the greens?

I've got the 16 and 19 degree with Halo stiff graphite and I very much like them. I originally bought the Halo 16 w/DGSL stiff and I hit that club pretty low and I had a tough time turning it over (right to left), even though I normally hit a bit of a draw (it was probably too stiff for me). The graphite shafted version goes much higher for me and is pretty easy to draw. I didn't like the balance of this club with the steel, but the graphite version feels perfect (pretty subjective and not very helpful insight there). The feel of this head is very sharp and solid, not muted at all and it's eay to tell from impact that you've hit a good shot. I've found the 19 degree to be good from pretty much everywhere (rough, tee, fairway) but I've yet to be able to hit a good, solid shot out of the rough with the 16 (probably user error). I haven't tried chipping with either because I always grab my 50 degree wedge. The only thing that I would suggest is that if you're going with graphite the stock Halo stiff may be a bit too soft for you, it's just right for me but I only hit my 19 degree 210-215 (I don't think they offer an Xstiff for that shaft but I could be wrong). Cleveland does offer a bunch of graphite shaft upgrades for this model. Also, these clubs have quite a bit higher lie angle than comparable fairway woods which is nice for taller players (I'm 6'5) or steep swingers.

Right now my Halo is the best hitting club in my bag. I have the stiff graphite shaft that comes in it. At first I had a little trouble hitting it as I would either hit a strong draw or hook with it. After opening the face some at address the club really started playing nice. Now I can shape shots or hit it dead straight most of the time. When you get a good hit on it there is no problem getting the ball up. I have yet to use it on the tee.

In my opinion one of the best hybrids out there. Certainly hits it very high and is very forgiving and great of the fairway although I prefer my Heavenwood oout of the rough. I have found it to hook quite a bit but apart from that minor complaint it's a great club. Comes with a lot of upgrade shafts which I like and also plays more like it's true loft. On a TaylorMade, Ping, Callaway the number i.e. 3 plays more like a 2. On a Cleveland a 2 plays like a two irons. Looking at your distance on your Hogan 2h if I where you I may want to have a look at other options like the NV Hybrid, UST iRod and Fuji Banzai.
