Primo’s Golf Swing - Advice

Hey Team!

Going to post a few swings and hoping for some feedback as to, “low hanging fruit” you suggest going after next (looking for one or two things to work on next). I have seen my local (affordable) PGA professional to get up to this point (can show before video as well) and, he has essentially told me I’m at a good enough spot with the swing that I need to focus on skill development now. I play 2-3 times a week and practice 2-3 times per week. 
 

Common miss:

1) over draw starting at “target”

2) straight pull

3) pull draw

 

Strike quality is usually pretty decent ball first contact. I struggle consistently hitting the middle of the face, however.

Alignment seems to be an easy low hanging fruit. Your body and club are aligned to two different targets

 

You are pretty much setup to hit a draw.

Although there are good things in this swing, I would disagree with your coach that you’re in a good enough spot to put technique aside. 
 

You have a big lunge toward the target in the downswing which causes you to pop up early before impact.  The way you tilt your neck and eyes in the backswing encourages this to happen.

I see the same thing from face on. In my head I want to work on that "slide" move next. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "The way you tilt your neck and eyes in the backswing" should head tilt be forward?

Are you right or left eye dominant?

I figured. Lunging is common in right eye dominant players. 

IMO some of the reason you lunge is so that you can see the ball with your dominant eye.

Makes sense - doesnt seem like listening for worms will help me hit a golf ball!

 Alright so I need to pre-tilt my head to get a good view of the golf ball with right eye prior to swinging (I think is what I'm coming up with). Thanks!

Providing a little update here…

Biggest focus between these updates are as follows:

1) drilling set up and alignment over and over and over. The camera angles arent perfect, but I know I’m aligning myself more consistently because I’m hitting my targets more and more often.

2) working on the “bird listening for worms” move. My initial game plan was to pre-c*ck my head to the left to “set” my right eye on the ball. Figured that’s worked because for the last month have been drilling it religiously and hitting some good shots. Well - video evidence shows the the pre-c*ck move but me falling right back into the previous pattern. Actually took some more video trying different thoughts to keep my head from tilting and starting spraying the ball and hitting hooks. Need to keep at it..
