TSR3 & back weight

I have my TSR3 at 45"... when I look online, the general consensus when cutting a 1/2 inch is to add 6 grams to get the 3 SW points back from the 1/2 inch lost.  However, I also see posts about Titleist reps or custom orders from Titleist only adding the +2 weight to a 45" driver. The question is now which weight to order... the +6 or the +2?

At driver length, I think the actual number is about 1.6 grams per SWP. In my experience, you usually don’t need to add the full amount of weight back after going shorter. 
 

Since you already have the club, the best way to do this is slowly add lead tape until it feels right, then order the correct weight to match that amount.

Titleist will accomodate according to the shaft selection as well. I got my TSR3 at 45" and they said the standard weight gave it a standard swing weight. d3-d4 (tensei 1k black 75tx, stock grip)

I still got a +4 weight (12g) though, and it feels better to me.

I have recently had the tsr3 driver and have been tinkering with the rear weights. I bought 2 additional 6g rear weights off ebay and have put them both in the rear weight track at h1 and t1. The shaft is 0.5 inch shorter than standard and I find this club is now so stable on mis-hits. I can change to 6 or 8 or 12 or even 20g with the combination of these additional weights. I'm yet to try the standard 8g on centre with 2 6g weights in h2 and t2. Think it might make the head slightly heavier but could be ultra stable on mis-hits.
