Dumb Srixon Loft Related Question - Help Clarifying Something?

Ok Srixon are not dumb, I am, let's get that out of the way first lol

 

I'm trying to build a combo set, and need to adjust some lofts, Srixon has a drop down menu that says this:

 

 

I've gotten used to reading things like "1 degree weak" or "2 degrees strong" so this is kinda playing tricks on me.

If I wanted a 51* AW bent to 50*, I'd select -1* right? 51 -1 = 50*?

Or a 21* Iron bent one degree stronger would also be -1* right? 21 - 1 = 20*?

 

Or,

 

Is it inverse? Like -1* really means one degree weaker? Then a 51 would become a 52?

 

Sorry for such a dumb thread, but got to order them in the right lofts or I'll have to take them somewhere to get them all bent correctly.

No such thing as a dumb question, this is supposed to be the place where you can learn.  -1 makes the club have less loft so it becomes stronger

If 7i is 32*. Take 32 add/subtract from the drop down menu. So +1 means 33. -1 means 31.

It’s a good question so everyone can learn! -1 is less loft which means the club becomes stronger. I always go 2 degrees strong on my clubs so it allows me to launch it lower and hit the window flights that i want

Okay I was on the right track, but wanted to double check and make 100% sure.

Actually, this is great question. And it has been answered above. Just remember that when you adjust the loft, it also affects the bounce. 1* should not matter much.

Don't assume that Srixon will have your lofts and lies correct. No OEM get them 100% right. I have had a custom order for Mizuno irons, half the clubs needed adjusting. Just got a call from a buddy, custom ordered TaylorMade MC irons, all were 1 - 2* flat from what was ordered.
