How to trim 46 inch driver shaft for mini driver

Good day,

 

I'm looking to replace the stock shaft in the Brnr Mini with a KBS TD I also game in my driver. If I order it with 1 inch tip trimmed (recommended trim for 3W on the KBS chart) and butt trim it 1.25 will that play as 43.75 in the mini? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Your finished shaft needs to be 42.75” from grip butt to end of the adapter to play standard 43.75”.

 

When ordering I would request 1” tipping and a finished length of 42.75”. Takes all the potential miscommunication between what you want and what the builder interprets.

Good shout! Its a well known shop in Scandinavia so im sure theyll know what to do.

Tip trim like a 3 wood will be ok. My mini driver is slightly lower in weight than my 3 wood Stealth+ head but only by 3gramm. If you like the stiffness of this shaft build it like a 3 wood shaft.

just make sure the shop understands that the finished length includes the extra length the adapter adds to it.

Tipping the shaft makes it play more stiff unless you add weight to the driver head to bring it up to 3 wood weight.  Lie angle will also change, so take that into account.
