I just traded for a Fuji 671 TE and I was looking for some reviews. Anyone have any experiences with this bad boy? I tried the search but didnt get much.

One of the two or three best shafts I've ever hit. It may be the best. Very stable, very smooth. It's lively with a subtle kick and launches the ball long and flat without too much spin. Plays a little soft to flex so careful with the tipping.

That is what I have heard. They discontinued the shaft. VERY expensive due to mfg costs. Heard it was one of the best however. Kwok claims it is on the top last year for the driver. Stable as hell. Has simularities to the 660tr.

Richard... sorry any comparison to the 660tr with the 671te is a grave injustice to the 671te... outside of the fact it is a Fuji and starts with the number "6"... at least IMHO!... the 671 is hands down one the Great Ones!

Tipping to flex is correct.. it does play a bit light, but it is very stable, low spin and has a great ball flight and will continue to stand up to any shaft out there for quite sometime!

I really liked the 671TE however it did not make it into the bag. I tried it vs quite a few other shafts on our launch monitor and I got better numbers from the Mamiya Axiv and also the Stulz Nano-Arrow. The Stulz was best and that is what is in the bag. I did like the 671TE better than any other Fuji I had tried.

Ari,

What's the deal on the Stulz ... how does it play? what does it feel like? what is the shaft bend profile? who would you say it suits?

Joe and I were talking about another Bnadon trip ... not sure though.

The Stulz is a great shaft IMO. It really has a unique feeling of all the energy of the shot being directed to the ball. I get a little better ballspeed with it than anything else I have tried all in the same head. Spin numbers also seem more consistant. That being said the 65g and 80g are two different animals. The 65g version has a lower kick and get the ball up in the air moreso than the 80g. It also spins the ball just a little more. The 65g is perfect for most people that could use a little higher flatter ballflight in their driver. The 80g is perfect for the stronger player that is looking for consistancy with a lower more boring flight and lower spin rate. If you were going to try one Id suggest the heavier one as I think the 65g would be a little high hitting for you. Conversly I think you would love the 80g.

... cool. does it have a lot of pop?? believe it or not, i just went back to the pro95x in my j33 460. i can't find anything to beat it out even though i know there are longer-hitting shafts (which i keep looking for).

i have a ys 8.1x tipped 1" (maybe 1.25") in the exotics head you sold me ... i love that combo ... this may be the best 3 wood combo i've ever had since persimmon days. it sounds a bit too high-pitched and off the tee, i hit a seriously high shot typically (carries long without ballooning though), but it's so easy to hit that it gives me tremendous confidence. i think the pro95 would be perfect in there too, but the fw one i have is tipped 1.375", which is too much (at least for me). at some point i'll cut down one of driver pro95's and tip it 1/2" - 3/4" or so.

thanks for the feedback. how's the competition between you and jeff these days?

Mike,

It does have alot of pop more of a shaft you can feel kick rather than the typical "smooth" Fuji. Id try the Stulz 80 if I were you. I think you would really like it. Let me know if you get to try one out.

That Exotics is a great club I still have one of those too and while its not ITB at the moment it is very good.

To be honest we dont get to play enough anymore to have any real competition. He looks much better than I do out there but Id say I still beat him 7 out of 10 times usually.
