Fujikura launcher, stability

I've had a Cleveland Launcher 13 degree 3 wood for 4 years or so, Fujikura Gold stiff shaft, 65g, Fujikura confirm this was mid/high launch with low/mid bend point, tip diameter 0.350.

I've seen other posts here saying this is an inconsistent performing shaft, but I've tried loads of clubs since and for me nothing comes close to this combo. For some reason it feels extremely stable through impact and I get great flight, direction and distance with it. My problem is I am desperate to find or spec a driver (and maybe rescues) with a similar feel.

I hit a decent ball off a 7 handicap, 102mph, quick transition, and use a pro v or HX56.

Fujikura say the closest equivalent is an E160, but descriptions suggest this is normally for slower swing speeds.

I've currently got a 9.5 degree Skymax square driver with proforce V2 stiff but I seem to get a low launch and far too much spin, and I simply don't get the same 'feel' through impact. I've tried adding some lead tape to slow things down but no improvement.

 

Incidentally, to me the Skymax driver feels quite a light swingweight normally, but others disagree. When I initially tested a taped up version on the range it seemed to work great but I guess with the grooves showing the spin is out of control.

 

Any help people can offer on a new driver spec please, because this is really bugging me!

Why don't you pick up a Cleveland Launcher driver with stock Fuji in it?

 

One of my favorite fwy's used to be a Cleveland Launcher 17* 4wd with the Gold Fuji . . . it was stolen, but I have been able to recapture some of the magic with the Silver Fuji they put in the newer Launchers.

 

A similar shaft that plays in my book a touch stiffer is the Fuji Vista Pro 70 . . . they still sell them at Golfsmith. I think that is what they recommend as the replacement for the Gold Fuji . . . the replacement for the Silver Fuji is the ProLaunch Blue 65.

 

The Silver shaft is from the 2006 iteration of the Launcher series- short lived as the Hi-Bore came out soon after.
