C-Thru Collegiate Grips

I'd like to get a Kansas State Pistol Grip for my putter, but wanted to know if they were worth the effort.

I love the look and feel of these but decided against buying one because the guy at the store said they're difficult to put on.

Apparently the decorative emblem is not adhesive and the only way to get the grip on is to put a bunch of hairspray on it so it's slippery.

After you get the grip on it becomes tight very quickly so you have limited time to align it.

I noticed after he said this that some of the putters that are sold with the c-thru grip have badly misaligned grips on them!

On a side note, Academy Sports sells putters with this grip and the butt end says "C-thru grips Golf Pride". It's the only place I've seen that references Golf Pride as the manufacturer.

they are a complete pain in the neck to do but they look really cool once done

I had one I got from the ESPN zone with "get in the hole" on it

They are hard to get on, but I think they're one of the best feeling grips out there. I wouldn't do it yourself, but if one of the guys where you get your grips has done a few, it shouldn't be a big issue. The hairspray is the way that I've always done them as well. I always found it harder to actually apply the sticker as straight as I wanted it than to get the grip on square. If you use enough hairspray you have ample time to get it straight. I use the non aerosol pump spray and it seems to work well.

I highly recommend one; I've used C-Thru's for years. They wear like iron and feel like butter; I play them on a few sets of my irons as well (even better club grips!). PM me; I can tell you exactly how to intall them no problem.
