Diamana BB vs Aldila Proto "By You"

I am needing help on the diference between the two shafts. I have the Proto by you shaft in my Rapture 10.5* and get a good mid launch out of it. I see that the new Rapture V2 will come with a Diamana BB in it, and was wondering how it would compare with my current set up. Will the launch be different, if so what degree should I get the new Rapture? Any info would be great.

Pretty sure the BB will launch lower and spin less than the VS proto.

In my experience with a Callaway FT-5 head, the VS Proto had less spin and a slightly higher launch than the BB. I assume regardless of what head you use the shafts should compare about the same.... but I am far from an expert. :russian_roulette:

BB will be a mid-high kickpoint (low launch) and mid-low spin.

 

Proto will be mid kickpoint and a little higher spin shaft. Softer tip than the BB.

These are actually pretty similiar shafts IMO. They both have that nice smooth feel but hold up under hard swings. The Blue Board spins a little less than the VS Proto. The Blue Board is more anti-left than the VS proto.

 

 

VS Proto 70

Weight - 71 grams

Torque - 2.8

Bend Point - high

 

Blue Board 73

Weight - 73 g

Torque - 3.0

Bend Point - Mid/High

I'm not sure about the Rapture head. But with a Titleist D2, the BB and VS Proto have very similar launch angle and spin. They are practically interchangeable from that regard. The D2 is a through bore head though.
