WITB - I finally SCRATCHed my itch

Love the scratch! welcome to the club. Our bags are very similar. If you like the EGG grind you should try a PWE sometime. Very much alike, but with more bite then bounce. I'm thinking hard about getting a TNC for my lower lofted wedge next time around.

 

How's your distance/performance variation between the 3i and hybrid? I have the exact same hybrid w/shaft and 3i w/dgs300 and most days I get the same distance and ball flight. the only difference being the 3i feels better and sometimes seems more consistent/predictable.

The SUMO2 is solid... the standard shaft length is 45.75" and I cut my ProForce V2 stiff down to 44" and added some lead tape. It's really the most comfortable (confidence) driver that I've hit.

 

I should also comment that my misses are not as severe (e.g. I may feel like I've rather pulled/pushed a shot but then I walk up to the ball and it's just 5-10 yards off the fairway) and the sound is not-so-bad, especially when compared to the previous year's model.

 

They're rather cheap now... I'll definitely be hanging onto mine for those days when my other driver is giving me fits.

Very nice bag, I wish i had an excuse to order myself a set of SB1's... the only problem i see there is the abundance of badger attire your clubs are wearing, I think they would look better in green!

No, sold them recently... looking back, I still wish that I had them.

My intentions were to sell 3+ sets and pick up a custom-ordered SB-1 set through Ari. He was awesome to work with, but I had some trouble selling the lot...

Would LOVE to be back in a set of SB-1s next summer.

I have noticed little-to-no difference in forgiveness on off center hits. However, qualitative data suggest that when I take one fat with the PINGs, it seems I lose less distance than the SB-1s.

Yes, satin.

Why did I sell them? I want all-out on a high end driver/shaft combo and hybrid/shaft combo. Looking back I wish I had been more patient, but the deals on said clubs were too good to pass up.

I've found the less I search on the BST here on GolfWRX, the longer I hold onto my sticks!
