besides tiger, what pga pro's use an interlock grip?? sergio??

Don't know about Sergio, but I know a golfer who uses interlocking grip other than Tiger, his name is Jack Nicklaus.

Anthony Kim, Hunter Mahan, Trevor Immelman use interlock. Took 2 minutes on Youtube looking at SwingVisions to come up with that. But if you are worried about what pros do, the majority use overlap including Sergio. Experiment and go with what feels best for you, you can grip it either way and have a good grip.

I tried the opposite: interlock for chip/pitch and overlap for full shot. Didn't work very well though.

I have fairly large hands and use interlock, which works well for me. I tried overlap for one year and went back to interlock.

i started overlap but having trouble with slices. if i dont apply too much pressure on my hands the shaft rotates during the swing but with interlock shaft never rotates and club head stays square through out the swing. with finese half swings i feel the club much better with overlap.

That's why Jack says he did that. I responded in another thread about grips that my hands are practically identical to Jack's, in size and finger length, but I prefer the overlap. And its because my hands are so small. It feels too uncomfortable to interlock with my tiny fingers. I feel more stable gripping the club with my 7 fingers fully on the club and the pinkie out of the way.

 

And Tiger uses 3 or 4 different grips, depending on the shot. Full swings its interlock, but then for various shots with wedges, he'll use the 10 finger, overlap and even reverse overlap.

Interlocking isn't quite as common anymore. However in an unusual case Paul Casey changed from an overlap TO an interlock. I personally, have done the opposite.

 

Most of the PGA Tour guys use an overlap, because it's considered a stronger and a more consistent grip. In some rare cases, a player with smaller hands will be shown the interlock.
