Epon AF Tour vs Miura Tournament Blade

Hi has anyone hit both clubs, i have been testing the Epon AF Tour and 301s with Kbs Tours and im about to pull the trigger on the tours but im wondering if its worth trying the miuras as well. Also im currently playing Project X Flighted 6.0s what flex in the kbs would compare iv hit the Kbs 5.5 feels a bit soft but the 6.0 Preject Xs feel a bit to firm at times my swing speed with driver is 115mph.

def hit the miuras blade. they are very nice and will give you a dif look. try them out

You can't go wrong with either set. It probably would come down to one fitting your eye better than the other.

As far as shafts go either the 6.5's straight up or soft stepped once would be where you need to be with a 115mph ss. My sons' ss is right about 115 and he's playing the 6.5's straight up. Hopefully Goodsie will see this and chime in.

Interesting you posted this as I am so close to pulling the trigger on a set of Epon AF Tour irons my self. I owned a set of Miura baby blades with nippon super peening blues (I play all irons 1/2" over and with the Nippon super peening blues they swing weighted at d8) but sold them. The Miura's felt awesome by the way.

The interesting thing i found with the Epons was that they were very forgiving for a blade im wondering if the miuras would be the same?. after playing the kbs tours and then going back to my irons with Project x the x felt like POS in comparison, kbs and dynamic gold have way more feel IMO, and i think i might play my old Mizuno Mp-33s with dynamic golds until i make a decision on the epons or miuras.

Can someone post pictures of the face at address of the Epon AF tours. Are the offset some? Couldn't tell on the website. They look like awesome blades.

My Baby blades felt great and they were 15% smaller than the tourny blades. This Import/JDM Equip forum is now my favorite on this site, after having Miura's and now just receiving some Chikara wedges I'm sold in the Japanese equipment. And yes I know Chikara's aren't technically Japanese but pretty damn close.

I don't like them both since I am not good enough to play them. Seriously they both look beautiful but can only compare the AF Tour with Miura 5003 and not the Tournament Blade since I have seen both physically side by side. The AF is a bit larger and seems to have more 'meat' on the sole. I was told that the AF Tour is as forgiving as any blades and the 5003 is supposedly more forgiving than the Tournament blades.

Again, the Miura's are fantastic Irons. But if you talk forgiveness, the Epons are more forgiving.

It may not be a lot but they are the more forgiving of the 2.

Yes I've hit both here's my take. Miura=slightly smaller head,also slightly thinner top line and much sharper leading,very little offset. Epon AF tour slightly larger head size very similar to Miz 32's in size and shape,great sole w/ slight leading edge grind,offset is progressive from the wedge thur long irons (again pw very little offset long irons similar to Miz 32's) nothing too bad.Feel both excellent soft,solid.

shafts; I have the exact same ss w/ driver and also came from 6.0 flighted and went w/ KBS 5.5 hardstepped 1x feel is softer (less harsh) but flex is perfect.
