Typically yes you are right, Newports haven't usually had sightlines in the past. However, they did for the Studio Style lineup. Either way, as everyone else has already stated, that putters fake, sorry man.

The guy ended up doing the right thing and meeting me to refund my money. He seemed genuinely surprised by this. I pointe out what everyone said, and he said he would talk to the person he won this from.

Not everyone in this world is a crook...it's nice to give the benefit of the doubt at first. Jump to conclusions after.

I also had an experience with this particular model of the Scotty. In addition to all the telltale signs, the insert is a dead giveaway. You'll notice that it's not an insert but the same material as the rest of the head. I still have my fake style, don't know what to do with it, but it actually rolls the ball pretty decently :)
