Looking for the right ball. High handicap/ball flight

I am looking into which ball will best suit my game. I don't have a handicap, but I usually shoot somewhere in the 90's. I also have never had my swingspeed tested, but I would have to guess that it may be somewhat slower than average. I am about 5'9", 185 lbs. I do have a high ball flight, and don't have a big issue with slices/hooks.

I am not looking for the premium balls. I would like to keep it under $30 a dozen.

Right now, I play the Nike Powersoft. I have also heard good things about the Titlesit NXT Tour and Extreme, and a lot of people seem high on the Srizon AD333. Any suggestions of what might be best for my game would be appreciated.

So many options! Those you list are fine although the NXT is pricer than what you may be wanting to pay. The Power Soft is good for a medium to slower swing speed. Other options in this category (cheaper, softer) include Noodle+, Wilson 50/50, Wilson Zip. Why not pick up a sleave of each of those that may be recommended and give them each a try?

but you *can* buy premium balls for under $30/doz. they're just last year's models. deals abound for Srixon's Z-URS, Nike One Black and Platinum for as low as $20/doz, all under $30/doz. Walmart sells Precept U-Tri-Tours for $24/doz. TGW has Precept U-Tri Extra Distance for $15/doz, U-Tri-Tours for $20/doz. Dick's has Maxfli Tour Fire's (same ball as TM Burner TP) for $15/doz. Costco apparently has 07 TM TP Red and Black for $20/doz.

imho, there's no compelling reason to pay full price for a midrange ball when you can buy last year's premium balls at midrange prices or lower. hell, i just bought several boxes of Nike One+ Platinums at Miles of Golf here in Ann Arbor for $14/doz.

if you want to stay really cheap, go to Dick's and get either the Maxfli Fire for $10/doz or MC Lady's (legendary ball made by Bridgestone--started the low compression ball craze and it's better than the Nike Powersoft imho) for $12 for 2 doz--$6/doz (gotta buy 2 boxes). the Fire is on clearance, but i think the MC Lady price ends on Sunday.
