Bridgestone Challenge

I'm doing the Bridgestone Challenge today to see what ball they suggest meets my equipment and swing.

 

Any advice from those who have done it or any feedback in advance is appreciated.

I have done it before and found the experience to be great! I would just make sure you stay within yourself, warm up before hand, and know what you are looking for most in a ball (ie: distance, spin, ect.)

 

When I went I got fitted I was swinging harder than I normally do and my ss was 10mph higher than normal!!

 

Once I go though the rest of my Tour Fires I am playing the B330

take your own driver! they didn't have the loft/flex for me when i did it so my launch numbers were off.

I haven't done the challenge but I did buy two dozen B330-S balls the other night at a Golf Galaxy. They had a promo going on that if you bought two dozen you got a free wind shirt, I just happened to have ripped my windshirt a few days prior so I did it. I had always been a Titleist ProV1x guy. Haven't played another ball than that in competition in at least 5 year. So I thought what the heck I will try it out. I played with a co-work both of us hit it about the same off the tee and throughout the bag. I was consistently 10 yards longer than him the next day on the course. The ball felt great with all the clubs in the bag. I still prefer the feel of the ProV1x with my putter but I am adjusting nicely to the Bridgestone. My buddy was very impressed and went out and bought a dozen to try also the next time he plays!

The first year I did it I fit the 330-S, but this year I couldn't because they wouldn't set the launch monitor up for lefties :angry:

 

I did play the new B330 on Sunday and it felt comparable to my V1x in everything else but firmer off the putter.

I think the test gives you some valuable info about your launch conditions...but you do not play golf on a launch moniter, you play golf on a golf course. In my opinion, you should choose a ball that gives you the best chance to shoot lower scores. If that means 10 more yards on a LM, then go for it. When I've experimented with new balls, I always start at the green and work backwards. 10 yards means nothing if feels terrible around the greens. Just my .02 , good luck!

I too was fitted for the Tour B330-S, but it just didn't work for me on the course. The best ball for me by FAR is the TaylorMade Burner LDP.
