zstar A slow swingers ball?

I think i figured it out

I played the b300s next to the zstar again today, and I could not figure out why I like the b300s so much better. My dad likes the zstar better. People on this board seem to like the zstar better, so I couldn't figure out why I didn't.

I didn't realize this, but the zstar is just like those old lady balls, but with a urathane cover so it will spin more. After i got home today, I did some looking around on the net, and the zstar is a low compression 80 mph ball and the 330s is a 105mph ball.

putting both balls are the same, but the b300s is much better with the driver irons and wedges.

So I think maybe I swing to fast for the zstar.

Maybe a better comparison would be between the zstar and the rx?

I love the ZStar.. and I have about a 110 S Speed.

Sory, i didn't mean any offence, my thinking was just that maybe I was comparing apples to oranges. Maybe the zstar x and the 330s would be the better way to compare, and maybe the brigstone rx and zstar would be more apples to apples.

That would be the correct comparison, if the Z Star is too much of a girls balls maybe the Z Star X would work out better for you.

I find the Ball critics on Golfwrx quite facinating.. everybody's got a different and passionate take on the new golf balls...

" The Cally Tour ix feels hard and hollow-I cant putt with this ball .. " say some

" The ZStar and Zur-s feel too squishy off the driver...cant play it ! " say others

 

I just think hands down- the ZStar is such a good ball and lasts so long-scuff resistant- that it's my ball, for now. By the way- in a "blind" test, among the top tour balls, the Cally Tour i & ix had the most "slow spin off driver- high spin off wedge".. and the B330rx was really best for the slower swingers but not by much.

 

The Precept Utri-tour, probably last manufactured 3 years ago, only recently, finally, dropped from the Walmart shelves- I would guess nationally. At $23.00 per box, and a Urethane ball, this was the best value & performance ball going for the last 5 years - Ugg my heart- it's gone. I still 2 boxes left.

FWIW, the ball compression rating of the Z-Star is 90 versus 75 for the B330-S (2008). Not what I would consider "old lady ball" territory.
