I tried them!

After I saw these in the LPGA pics, I had to order them!!! I got the skull and crossbones.

This weekend I had the opportunity to try them for the first time. Application was extremely easy and they look GREAT! My only concern was that they would come off after a couple of hits. In my Saturday morning round, my golfdotz came off (or wore off) after 2 holes, most likely I caught it with my wedge grooves. I decided not to reapply during the round if they would continue to wear off this quickly.

I went back after my round and applied some more to a couple of brand new Pro V 1’s. Then I sprayed a very light application of clear coat (automotive spray clearcoat). I played 18 on Sunday with my new, coated golfdotz. I used 1 ball for all 18 holes (wow, I didn’t lose a ball!!!) and the golfdotz never wore off. It lasted all 18. I will continue to use these as long as the wear is good. I recommend applying a light application of clear coat to them (aerosol spray worked nest for me) to improve the wear factor. I'm sure that after my spray, the balls are no longer USGA legal (would they be?). Performance wasn't affected that I could tell.

I give them an 8 out of 10. If I didn't have to add clearcoat it could have been 10 out of 10.

I bought the four leaf clover and arrow packs. I like the arrows to line up putts with. I had been using a sharpie for it. However, with the four leaf clover I was to identify my ball very quickly. I played three rounds of golf with 4 different balls that had the Golfdotz logos on them. I noticed a few areas where the logos were starting to flake off. I was pretty impressed with them. It would be nice if they had a bigger selection of logos to choose from. I'd highly recommend the arrows though.

I thought the same thing when I ordered but thought I'd at least give it a chance. After putting them on the ball they actually look like they have been screen printed from the factory. One of my golfing buds this weekend asked if I got some logo balls from Titleist. He thought four leaf clover was an actual logo and not a decal. I was impressed that the logo lasted the whole round. However, like I said earlier they need to have more logos to choose from or at least let you custom make your own somehow. Now that would be pretty good.
