Tour Edge Exotics Fan

I spent some time looking thru this forum yesterday. Really enjoyed seeing the WITB pics, so I thought I would add mine today.

As a side note, my wife (who has suspected I might be somewhat crazy) watched me pose and take pictures of my clubs, and is now pretty convinced I have gone completely insane.

I only put it in the bag toward the end of this year. Played maybe 8 rounds with it. It may still be the honeymoon period, but man I putted great down the stretch this year.

I've got it set up 360 grams, and the heavy head gives me a great tempo and roll. You can pick them up for $60.00 brand new at Golfsmith. Pretty good deal on a premium putter.

It's funny, since I picked up that bag, I have people walk up to me and start up a conversation about Tour Edge all the time. You'd be surprised how many people I have run accross who have a Tour Edge club in their bag. Once they see my bag, it is like we are long lost friends.

That's a real nice set of TEE clubs right there. I have a set of those irons too but unfortunately just listed them for sale this morning. How do you like that 18* hybrid?

I really do like the hybrids. I recently shafted them with steel (Nippon 8950's), and am hitting them straighter than ever.

At my usual course, there are 3 par 4's where you really can't hit driver (not enough fairway in front of you). Even the 4 wood can be too much. The 18* works really well for that 230 or so shot where you've got to be in the fairway. Penetrating ball flight, set up square, nice feel at impact, put a good swing on them and they go.

By the way, why are you getting rid of the CNC's?

Good to know. I'm not really a hybrid player, but have been doing some experimenting recently and I know TEE makes nice clubs in general. Thanks for the information.

While I love the iron heads in terms of feel, looks, and playability, I don't like them paired with the Rifle 6.0s I have in there. Since I have two other sets that are more "game ready", I'm not really willing to spend the money and time to get the TEEs reshafted. However, if no one picks them up from me, I definitely wouldn't be too unhappy revisiting the set up later down the road.

Obviously I am a Tour Edge fan and biased, but the CNC's are a really nice set of irons. The short blade length with the high toe looks very old school, and frames the ball nicely.

I've hit every Exotics iron, but this is the only that got a secure spot in the bag. Made it thru a whole season, and I've got no urge to replace them in 2010.

tour edge are not a big player in the uk market we usually stick to taylormade, titleist, callaway and ping generally so its nice to see all these clubs that look new to me!

NIce setup and your sticks look very clean. I haven't played Tour Edge at all but the look makes me want to at least see how they feel on the range. . . I may be just as crazy!!

It all started to me with the fairways. I play the CB1 and I don't think there's another fairway that performs or feels as good. It's a good place to start.

That's what got me started with TEE and you can see where it led me.

And by the way, if you are a member on this site, you ARE just as crazy!
