If you would of asked me a week ago hands down

i would of said Titleist 905R all the way but after

playing with nike 5000 this past weekend there is No contest.

45.75" Ping G10 with Grafalloy Prototype Comp NT X Flex... I used it in a captains choice and hit it very well... Elevated tee and down wind, I hit it 389 yards... It was the longest drive I can remember, but I have been playing since I was 10.. (24 years) I was considering picking up one for my bag, but I got a 45.75" 907d2 with an Aldila DVS X Flex...... I rarely hit it over 315 and probably average around 285 to 295, but damn is it straight..... That G10 drive was a perfect combination of swing, club, wind and elevation..... By the way, I weigh more than 150 pounds and I am partial to Titleist...

Another vote for the Titleist 983K. Mine was reshafted with a stiff Graphite Design Purple Ice shaft. Used to really fly of the face and felt very stable at impact. Lovely driver.

 

Still waitng for another Titleist driver to match it. My current 907D2 with a stiff V2 is more accurate which is a plus but the extra yards would help reach longer par 5s in 2.

A friend ask me if I could build him a driver using that component head. As with all the clubs I used to build, I had to test drive it... I've been "testing" it since april and don't want to let it go. He think he's fine with a Tour Burner. Nice, but not as nice as the lasers I hit down the fairway with the Disukaba. Longest driver and straight as an arrow for me...

For me a Titleist 975 d with an Extra Stiff EI-70. That club hit some bombs.

My longest was a J's Professional 9.5 with the original EI70 shaft in stiff flex. It had a very nice penetrating flight that would carry about 250 and would run like it stole something. Nothing I have hit since has come close to it. But like others I have gotten older and do not get to play/practice as much and now I can't hit it out of my shadow.

I use to really pump out my Callaway Big Bertha Warbird 10 RCH Firm Flex Graphite driver when i first got one in 1995. Then after about 6 mths it went funny and I was hitting long but all over the place and never the same.

 

I have recently been trialing a TM Burner 9.5 Stiff Flex and it is by far the longest and straightest driver i have ever hit. Am keen on the FT5 but after my last Callaway experience, and the great results with the Burner, I think I will go the Taylor Made route.

SMT 455 Deep Bore, 8* with a MFS 58+ 48" long. I used to build clubs for some long drive guys so I built one for me (I couldn't do the 5* thing though) it was looong but I sprayed it a bit. I have played the Deep Bore head in 10* and 12* at different lengths and it's a pretty long head when set up for the player.

My current Callaway F-5 9° w/ a Speeder 652 Stiff Shaft. Noticeably longer than my previous R7 Quad. I've had a number of 300 yd. drives with it (although usually downwind ;-))

In HS back in the 80's I used to have this 4 wood with a reg flex steel shaft that was made out of some kind of Polymer with a resin insert. I got it out of a donated box of clubs given to our golf team and it looked like a peice of crap, but I could bomb it. Honestly had a couple 300 yard drives using a Titleist Professional 100. Loved that club then decided to start trying to hit a driver again and lost the 4 wood. I would give my right arm to find another 4 wood like that. Black head with a yellow resin insert if anyone has one lying around:)

Currently my Cleveland Comp 8.5 with a Diamana Blueboard 83x at 45" is still going strong. I think my shaft is breaking down and hopefully will get a whiteboard for it when I can find one. Longest drive so far is 345 going off cart GPS and sprinkler heads. I dont plan on getting rid of it, but I am alsogiong to give the new Geek Golf FS2 driver I just bought a try. Hit it a few times the other day and am adjusting to the v2 Xstiff shaft in it. Busted a couple good drives with it though. I think when I get it dialed in, it will be long!!!

Been trying for years to find something close to the feel, classic look, carry and roll and finally found a driver that meets all four criteria:

The longest measured driver I've ever hit was a Acer(Big Bertha clone) 6 1/2 degree with a Adilia Longwood 50/50 X-Stiff. I can't do that anymore after adding age and some health issues but I can have fond memories.

My best driver has been a 9.5° R7 425 Tour Issue with a Matrix OZIK TP-7x. It has been my gamer for well over 2 years and its not going anywhere. Its gonna be in the bag till I crush the face in.
