Puting an Aldila VS proto in a 905R

Help!

I am going to put an Aldila VS 70X in a 905R here very soon, and was just wondering what you guys suggest. I have about a 108 ss, and have hit the Aldila 65S and 75S in the 905R, and they felt way too soft. Almost whippy. Anyway, I was wondering if putting the 70X in the 4" bore thru is going to make it a whole lot stiffer? I guess it must, but am I going to be able to handle this shaft with my swing speed? I don't want to buy the wrong shaft, esp. b/c of the $. I also might buy a 70S and tip it. I don't know what to do.

...you have the best of all worlds with the 905r hosel... i put a vs proto in mine at 1.5" bore depth. it was a little loose, so i drilled out another 1/2" and it worked out very well. i'd try the 70x at 1.5" first. the nano tubes stiffen it up quite a bit, but you still get a nice kick thru impact. just leave about 1.5" on the butt end, and if it is a little loose, tip another 1/2". if too losse, rinse and repeat. once it's dialed in, butt trim to length. the great part of having a very deep bore is, if you install it too deep and it's a hair too stiff, you can just back it out a little. like i said, best of all worlds.

Can I ask what your specs are. What is your ss and ballspeed? Thanks

... i am playin a vs proto 's' at 44.5"... i have no idea what my ballspeed is. last i checked my ss was around 105.
