Ping "Under 4" or my current Ping Hoofer Vantage

should i switch?

I just saw the new Under 4s at my pro shop, and I am thinking of switching. It won't cost me anything (have credit, but of course, I could spend on something else). I have a 2 yr old Ping Hoofer Vantage. I already had to cut out the dividers because they broke off the bottom of the bag, and sending it back to ping only fixed it for a little bit. The "soft material" on the top is also ripping. I do play a lot, so I am not upset.

My vantage is still usable. But it may be time to upgrade.

My question is, is the Under 4 going to store so much less than my Vantage? I see it has less places to put stuff, but in reality, I currently only use the ball area, the side panel for my tee bag, the valuables pouch, the range finder area, and the full length for gloves and a rain coat if I need it. I know I may give up the range finder slot I guess?

Any thoughts? Should I look into the latitude v2 or the hoofer c1? I'm sure the pro could get one but the Under 4's weight and it's looks are appealing.

If you're a light carrier, in terms of gear, you may want to check out the 4 under. I've always used Hoofers and like all the pockets, even though I don't carry rain gear or a range finder. Just a personal preferance. The 4 under may be a tad shorter, so your clubs may stick up a little more from the top of the bag. With the lighter material, I may question the durability of the 4 under, but current users can chime in on that one.

The C-1 Hoofers look nice too, and are only 1.5 lbs. or so heavier than the 4 under, but the thing i don't like about the C-1 is the pingman logo is missing from the spine pocket. It just looks bare without anything on it. Stupid I know, but I'm just used to seeing it.

Id stick with your hoofer or wait for the C-1. The 4 under being lightweight just doesnt look to durable like the hoofers are.
