Use to play Ad333. Ok ball for the price. Somewhat low flight/trajectory. A little hard feel. I had issues with the ball holding greens. I have not tried Gamer V2 but heard many good things. The E5 from bridgestone is good ball. Softer feel and holds greens well. Just did not like spin off driver and balloned on me. I am going to try GamerV2. My buddy plays Pinnale feel and is now using Dimension. He loves them.
Check out golf digest ball test. Has graph of launch height and spin rate. Gamerv2 right in middle for both.

Thanks for the review. I was reading the new Golf Digest and that was why I picked these two balls but maybe I should look at the E5.

You can't go wrong with the gamer V2, i picked up two dozen at target on a whim when they had a sale for $13.99 and was amazed with the added distance and spin is quite remarkable. I usually play pro v1x and gained probably 5 yards on irons and 10 yards on driver, but did not have a significant drop in touch around greens. They will stick or back up about as well on wedge shots. A slightly higher ball flight on drives, but the ball is designed for that. Pro V1 and Pro V1x are designed to be lower flighted balls. But when you compare based on cost and performance, these really stack up quite nice against Titleist NXT, Callaway HX Hot, Nike One Vapor. Sorry, but never tried Srixon AD333.

You must want to compare on price rather than performance. Performance-wise, the V2 is more comparable with the Srixon Trispeed Tour. The Srixon is $10 more though.

Compare Dot 19 (Srixon) and Dot 29 (Top-Flite).

I usually play the AD333 (before my recent switch). Good ball but I get too much spin off my driver and not enough on the green.

The V2 is the best ball at it's respective price point IMO. The only negative I can find with the ball is that it feels a touch bit clicky off the putter. Other than that, you won't find a ball that does what it does at that price.

Almost exactly my thoughts. I also found the Gamer to be a straighter ball - it does not move quite as bad off line when you over spin it.

I was gaming the AD333 at the end of last year, and found that when I improved my driver clubhead speed that it was getting too much backspin on drives and ballooning. If you're already a high hitter, you could have problems.

Main thing is the AD333 is designed to get up in the air for those with slower swing speeds - carry = distance.

I liked the Gamer, both v.1 and v.2, and only had problems with the durability of the v.1. Considering I rip up AD333 covers pretty badly anyways, it was pretty much a saw-off for me.

Around the greens, neither of these is a tour ball. And despite what Srixon says, the AD333 released way too easy for me. The Gamer bites a little better, but grabs nowhere near as well as a tour ball.

Just as an FYI, my SS is ~100, and I'm a sweeper, not a digger.

I also wouldn't recommend the e5 - I found it hard, poor to putt with, too easy to spin of the driver, and shorter than both balls you are looking at trying.

I am a high spin guy so the AD333 is not going to work for me. I like what I am hearing about the Gamer so I am going to give it a go this weekend.

If you're high spin on the drives, I'd suggest trying out the Callaway HX Hot Bite (HX Bite this year).

Longest ball I've played - a bit firm in feel, but if you have a faster swing speed with lots of backspin, it seems to rein it in a bit. Not bad around the green either.

The AD333 and the original Gamer are both great balls, The best of any in their prices range.
Magazine tests also prove this to be true. I personally think the AD333 is the best kept secret out there in ball land. Both balls have high driver and iron spin. The V2 gamer is not as good a ball as the original, but its cover does last a bit longer. Its also harder than the original Gamer, with less spin. .

Got a 12-pack of V2s and a 12-pack of my AD333 replacements: the Trispeed Tour. I'll will play the front nine with the TT's. If don't break 50, I'll try the V2s on the back. I expect the greens to be somewhat soft tomorrow.

Well I bought some Gamer V2's and did some chipping and putting yesterday and I really like the feel and response of this ball. The next step will be to play with it and see how it performs on full swings.

Played my round today. Front 9 with the Trispeed Tour, back with the Gamer V2. The greens were soft as I expected but firmed up a little as the day wore on.

I got to say, I'm impressed with the Gamer. Especially since I didn't like the first version. Spun a little more than the TT, held greens better even after they firmed up, slightly more spinny off the driver but barely noticeable to me. The V2 felt better to me off my irons and wedges.

I was comfortable with the TT. It did what I wanted for the most part, but the Gamer V2 performed better for me today. Off the woods down to the irons, they were similar, but I could tell the difference off the wedges and putter. The V2 is an amazing value being $10+ cheaper.

The AD333 was my ball since the middle of last season. I played both last year's and this year's version. It is a great ball. But for straighter flight off the tee, and better spin around the green, the V2 is the clear winner.
