It works!

I tried buffing today and the results are 5x better than expected. It removed all the ball marks and scratches on the face of my 905T as well as made it shiny. My PW's nasty mark is almost gone but it is so much better now. This boosts up the value of your clubs so much as well as make them look brand new! I am so happy! ;) :crazy: :yahoo: :)

You use a bench grinder but with different wheels. I went to Home Depot and got 2 wheels-1 A and 1 B. A=coarse, B=soft. I got 3 rouge that goes on the wheels. One was a C=coarse, used to remove scratches. Can't remember the other letters but one was for soft metals and plastics which I used with the B wheel for shining and finishing it off. You just start of with the coarse one (it really isn't coarse that's just the name of it) and go over your club for a little while and change wheels and do the same thing over again with the different wheel. Then wash off the residue from the rouge. It didn't effect the paint on my 905T at all. Not sure how it effects other OEM paint. The wheels are made of cotton.

Note: I didn't do the face on my irons.

I will be doing my 3 wood and hybrid and some more irons tomorrow so I will try to do some before and after pics.

The only problem with buffing the face of the woods is that they will scratch easier the next time you use them. They make a scotchbrite wheel that goes on drills that will put the stock finish back on a Titleist. I buy them at Sears. They are with the flap wheels and other such attachments. I use them when I reshaft bore throughs and it works great. You can also get a belt but, need to order it from Golfsmith.
