Sonartec is in the bag

After several weeks of practise at the range i've finally put my new sonartec SS3.5 14 deg in to the bag.
Is it me or does the ball fizz of the face when struck? the flight is spot on, the head is perfect ,sleek un- fussy, theres no irritating sight lines or chevron on the top. hence the reason the X-tour had to go.
All in all a great club and well worth the price, it will take something very special indeed to replace the club.

Any fell the same?

Might invest in an MD rescue as well if the 3 woo is any thing to go by what do you guys think?

Great choice mate. I've been looking at a new 3 wood for a while, something to give me a more penetrating flight with the wind over here in England.

 

I've hit the 3.5 a few times and you're right, everything in the Sonartec range explodes of the face but you don't seem to sacrifice any feel. I think i'll be putting an order in for a 14* with an Aldila NV 95 X very soon.

I agree that this is a great FW. Also had a 14* 3.5 for a brief while, then traded it for the R7 FW. Had an R7 TP driver at the time, and got carried away. But I'm thinking about getting another 3.5 and reshafting.

 

I was not a fan of the Tour Platform. For me, it felt very light. Also, I fight a high ball and am looking for a more penetrating flight. I thought it was strange that they paired up a low-launching head with a light, high-launching shaft.

 

What has been your experience? Are you happy with the TP, or thinking about reshafting?

i love this club. also the 3.5 at 14* but had to move from the tour platform to the Vista pro 80. been in the bag quite a while

i love mine, but i am going to throw a prolaunch or nvs shaft in, i hit it much to low right now.

Hi I Find the flight to be quite flat and boring which is good for playing in the UK. im happy with the TP at the min but may consider an Accra shaft at a later date, same shaft as Luke Donald. All in all V-happy at the min.

Have any of the 3.5 owners had difficulty with the deep face off the deck???? I know off the tee the thing is the bomb,but i havn't had a chance to hit it off the deck yet.Has anyone put a higher launch shaft in it to improve the lauch from the deck???? thanks :friends:
