I need these irons to stay within the limits of the law. They took away my grooves so now I don't know what to do. But if I get these clubs, and they are new, then I will respect the law and the get the girls too.

These irons look great in the pictures. According to Golf Digest, my current irons are obsolete, so I could use these irons to jump out of the obsolete category. Maybe these irons would help me drop my handicap 5 strokes to get into the single digits. Anyway, thanks for the chance to get these in my hands.

I started to get into "serious" golfing in 2007, shortly after recovery from colon cancer treatment. While recovering, wife promised me that she'd buy me whatever iron set I wanted if I healed faster and stayed "strong" for the family. As I got better, she kept her promise and I asked for a set of Ping G5s (used). Upon acquiring the irons, I visited the range and played more rounds of golf in a 3 month period than I did the first 7 years since being introduced to the game. Before that, golf to me was going to the range with friends and hacking away at range balls with a set of Wilson graphite shafted clubs sold off the Clearance rack for $59.98 at Target!!! LOL! Since 2007, I've managed to get around 10 handicap, flirting with a single digit hcp before our baby was born in Nov 2009.

So after hitting the G5s a few months, I upgraded to the G10 (as they came out sometime late 2007). For whatever reason, I could NOT hit the G10s cleanly. Went for a "proper fitting" and the Ping rep suggested I go with the i10 at that time. I was able to hit them much better than the more forgiving G10s. Then came the s57. Out of curiosity from what I read from other golfwrx member posts stating that the s57 was more forgiving than the i10s, I went to try them out at a demo day. I still remember my first swing with the 7 iron...I hit it solid and farther than my i10! Much to my heartache, I couldn't afford another set of irons. It took me about 7 months to save up for a set of s57s. Now my current playing clubs are...

Ping s57 5-PW, KBS stiff, blue dot, Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips
Ping Tour W wedges 52, 56, 60
TM R9 Javln FX stiff
TM Rescue TP (2007!!!) hybrids (19* and 22*)
Cleveland Launcher FW 15*

I have had the chance to hit the R9 TPs and I can say they feel softer and am able to hit them a little longer than my current set. I would not mind switching to these clubs in a heartbeat if my financial situation allowed me to. Then, I came across your contest today! I would love to be chosen to win these clubs as I firmly believe they will help my game. I'm not saying it will help by leaps and bounds, but in golf, two or three strokes shaved off a round is HUGE. Besides, it would be nice to see a bag full of TM products. ;-)

I have never won anything...not even at our annual work Christmas parties (15 years running)! LOL...

Debatably, the best player in our area had R9 TPs and couldn't hit them, so now everybody I play with has said these irons are terrible... I would love to have a set to prove that they can go low, but I'm young and poor and I can't afford them. If I got these clubs they would be babied beyond belief.
