Anyone out there played RCC? Comments? Can non-members get on?

Never played it, but a good friend of mine plays it quite a bit. He calls it "the toughest course he's ever played". He says the greens are brutally tough. Super slick and undulating.

Really liked it. Played it and caddied it several times. The last Donald Ross if I remember correctly. Wonderful green complexes, beautiful pines, and yardage that is enjoyable.. 330 hit it anywhere doesn't work well but quality 2nd shots and great short game will get you around Think it is very private but I'm sure you can find a way.

It is a great track. It is the last Donald Ross course every built and is typical Ross fashion. Fairly straight ahead with pine tree lined fairways. The greens are small, undulating, and lightning fast. They used to hold the hold the Nationwide event there until it moved to TPC Wakefield. It was bought a few years back by John McConnell and is part of the McConnell group as well as the Cardinal in Greensboro, Treyburn in Durham, and Old North State. You'll need a member to get you on.

Never played there myself, but a former touring pro I know told me that they're about the toughest greens he's ever played, tougher than Pinehurst #2

I suppose I will have to call in on some owed favors from some buddies in Raleigh ...

And, are there any EASY Ross greens out there? I really do like his greens - that way I can blame all scary numbers on Donald instead of my stone hands. I swear there is one green at Mid Pines (maybe No. 15) that looks like it's hanging on a wall like a dart board when you are going down the fairway.
