Chipping and pitching: variety of surfaces

Hi, first a thank you to all who gave me good advice on previous posts.. I bought a G15 4 wood, custom fittted for grip and length and I've never hit so well off the grass as I have with this one.

I'm thinking now of a wedge that might serve multiple purposes but especially for chipping. After poking around the interwebs, I discovered some positive reviews regarding Eidolon. BTW, my other wedges are Ping G15 PW (45) and Ping SW (54) green dot. So thinking that Eidolon works for a lot of different surfaces, I thought of picking up a 48 and maybe bending it one degree to 49.

For those of you have tried the Eidolon, what has been your experience with their clubs and would this particular choice be good for chipping and pitching from a variety of conditions.

I do not have the 48, but I do have the other three. With the sole design you can open or close the face very comfortable and be assured the wedge will perform as you intend as long as for most shots you have a forward leaning shaft.
I have had mine for at least 4 years, maybe longer. It is time for me to order a new set.

I just added the 48° Eidolon to my bag. I also have their 52° and 56° wedges. All were purchased with the graphite shaft. I also replaced the grips with a Lamkin oversized wrap.

The 48° is replacing both my G-10 pitching wedge (46°) and G-10 gap wedge (50°). I'll have to see has this plays out. But so far it has worked well.

I like having the graphite shaft in my wedges. I also find it is easy to open the face of the Eidolon wedges when needed.

I play a 15 handicap. I use my wedges from 120 yards in.
